Italian Pizza Feast with Bottega

Okay, let’s admit it! As much as we want to stay sane during the lockdown, sometimes the emotion takes precedence. The calling for pizza is so strong these days that we decided to indulge in some Italian pizzas; delivered all the way from Bukit Bintang.

And this is one of the best decisions ever. No regret and complaints about the food quality except that it’s a little cold. Just got to reheat it and voila, you can have an Italian feast at home, minus the whole ambiance. Just Netflix and good food will make a perfect day.

1. Formaggiosa (RM 38.00)

It’s heavenly! The combination of all the cheeses was just perfect; making you crave for more. I wish I know what cheeses they put but Nah, we can keep that for another day. For now, happy tummy, happy day.

2. Pecanminosa (RM 38.00)

Okay, this is little weird, and I thought twice before I ordered it. Glad that I made the wisest decision ever. The appearance was a bit surprising, like hello, you will see sardines on top of the pizza, but taste wise was shockingly delish. I am not a fan of pumpkin but for this pizza that comes with tomato, porchetta (my favorite), pumpkin, buffalo mozzarella, mozzarella, and marinated sardines, I gave a thumbs up!

3. Picante (RM 34.00)

This got a special position in my heart, erm, I meant tummy. Not just the spicy salami nduja that tasted so good amidst other toppings like mozzarella, tomato, and red onion, it managed to trigger my tastebuds, bringing a greater oomph and aah to them. For this pizza, it’s like a love-hate relationship; either you love it, or you hate it. For me, I have fallen in love with it.

4.    4. Cheeseboard (serves 4) (RM 78.00)

Instead of ordering a cheese platter for 2, my partner-in-crime decided to call for a cheese feast by having a slightly bigger plate, and that means a cheese platter for 4. Came in at least 6-7 different kinds of cheeses, we got to sample them at one go and decided which was our favorite. From Brie to Gorgonzola, Fontal, Pecorino Sardo, Asiago, Taleggo, Parmigiano Reggiano accompanied by bread, picked vegetable and dips.

All in all, I would say Bottega is one of the fine Italian restaurants and we were glad to find one and have them during this extraordinary period. All was good except that I don’t fancy paying for the delivery fee that cost me a bomb (which is enough to get me another pizza), but that again, can’t complain much since it’s quite a distance from my place.

Ambiance: Non-applicable

Price: $$$$

Food: Non-halal, western

Service: Excellent

Verdict: Must try their pizzas ????
