McQuek Satay Celup, Melaka

This was my second time here, and somehow it tasted way better than the first. I think I now know why. Read on to find out.

We went early, just before the dinner crowd arrived, and managed to secure a table without needing to wait. Once we were seated, the servers asked for our drinks, followed by the broth.

FoodiesTravel: Broth? We want the satay celup broth.

Server: Yes, which broth would you like?

FoodiesTravel: (confused) Is there any other broth?

Server: Do you want the used broth? That one is free. If you want a fresh, new broth, there’s a charge of RM26.

FoodiesTravel: Oh, we didn’t know that. Of course, we opted for the fresh, new broth.

While waiting for the broth to be ready (it took slightly longer hour for the broth to be cooked), we made our way to the refrigerator to choose our favorite ingredients.

When we returned, we dipped the ingredients into the freshly cooked satay celup broth and slowly indulged. Voilà—it was so delicious!

Ah-ha! We finally found the secret behind why it tasted so much better this time compared to our previous visit. The broth!

I savored every bite. The satay celup coated each and every stick perfectly, delivering a strong peanut flavor and giving a real boom to the taste.
