Top 3 Must-Have Foods for Breakfast

Do you know how essential it is to start your day with breakfast? No matter where I am—whether traveling or away on business- I always prioritize having breakfast.

Must Have for Breakfast
Breakfast is incredibly versatile, allowing you to indulge in anything from a simple slice of toast to a hearty meal like Nasi Lemak or Meehoon. The choice is yours, and it sets the tone for the day ahead.

Personally, I lean towards simpler breakfasts, and here are my top three picks—except, of course, when I’m staying in a hotel, where I tend to indulge more!

1. Half-Boiled Eggs

Half-Boiled Eggs
Surprisingly, I never cared much for half-boiled eggs when I was younger, but now they've become a favorite. These days, I find myself craving them at least once a week. One memorable experience was enjoying half-boiled eggs at Kedai Kopi Pok Aik in Batu Pahat—they were simply delightful.

2. Toast Bread

Toast bread is another favorite, especially when paired with butter and kaya—a classic Asian combination that I absolutely love. Simple yet satisfying!

3. Kopitiam Coffee

Kopitiam Coffee
Ah, coffee! But not just any coffee—kopitiam-style, rich and strong. None of your Americano or latte here, just the kind of coffee that hits the spot with its "kao kao" richness.

While I was in Batu Pahat, Kedai Kopi Pok Aik became my go-to spot for all my breakfast cravings. It was a feast of simple yet comforting choices that reminded me of the importance of starting the day right.
