Dreaming of Sakura season makes me wanting to have a bowl of ramen. Strolling along the busy Akihara street, browsing through the cute souvenirs as you shop, and toying the idea if to visit the nearest museum.. ah crap, wake up gal!

Chanced upon #MenyaMusashi is a well-known Japanese eatery that has won the heart of many when comes to a good ramen. There’s always queue outside the restaurant, the ones in #oneutama, and thankfully, I was slightly earlier, skipping the lunch crowd.

Ordering the ramen was a breeze. Simple and easy. Scan the QR code, choose the set and wait patiently for the bowl of ramen to be served. While waiting, you can sip the green tea. Ouch, I got a hot green tea. It burnt my lips!

Woolala, chicken karaage.

It was first served on my table. From the outside, it looks good. Juicy, succulent and decent portion for one pax. Took a bite and true enough, it never disappoints me.

Menu is pretty straight forward that you choose what types of Ramen follow by flavour broth on the right side.

1. Shiro (white) – Onion flavoured oil/Original flavour
2. Kuro (black) – Special oil from Fried Shallots and Garlic
3. Aka (red) – Housemade Musashi Chili Oil

Next, Ajitama Ramen! I opted the Kuro (black) which means the flavor broth is a special oil from fried shallots and garlic. There are other flavor broth that you can opt like Shiro (white) which is onion-flavored oil or Aka (red) which is for those who loves spicy. Before I started indulging them, I added some fried garlic to enhance the broth. It was delicate, and rich in flavors. One spoon after another; and the broth is totally a steal. It complemented so well with the springy noodles. And the next minute, I finished the bowl of ramen.

It was so delicious. The ramen is springy, the broth is flavorful, the ramen egg is cooked in perfection, and the pork belly melts in your mouth. What else can you ask?

Best of all, there’s lunch set menu from Monday to Friday, 11.30am to 2pm. Reasonable price and it satisfies your appetite, surely!
