But let’s be real—not everyone can hop on a plane just for a bowl of seafood. So here’s the next best thing: head over to B & Best Seafood Restaurant in Petaling Jaya. Pun bolehlah, right?
Over the weekend, I made my way to B & Best Seafood Restaurant during the buzzing lunch hour. A short queue greeted me at the entrance—but thankfully, service was brisk and efficient.
No menu browsing needed! As soon as I got to my table, I was asked what I’d like to order. Caught in a moment of indecision and side-eyeing the nearby tables, I opted for the popular choice: dry noodles with fishball soup, upgraded with siakap fish slices.
Clearly, my eyes had bigger plans than my stomach. I also added:
1. Fried fish eggs
2. Fuchuk (fried beancurd skin) and fish cake
All dishes arrived swiftly, served piping hot and ready to devour.
The fishballs were surprisingly delicious—chewy, bouncy, and full of flavor. Undeniably the star of the show. The fish slices were decent, though not mind-blowing, while the noodles could have been improved - perhaps with a touch more sauce. Ultimately, the soup is absolutely comforting, especially with the umami from the seafood.
Note: Prices are on the steeper side, likely due to the fresh fish additions. Worth it? Depends on your cravings.
Will I Return?
Definitely—especially when the craving for a nostalgic, clean-tasting fishball soup hits hard.
