After a satisfying dinner, my craving for something sweet led me to a nearby cafe, Broom at Taman Paramount, Petaling Jaya. Its exterior was aesthetically pleasing, and as I stepped inside, I was greeted by a cozy and comfortable ambiance. The wall behind the cashier counter showcased artfully arranged chunks of sourdough bread, immediately catching my attention.
On the counter, an array of pastries beckoned to me; just look at the photos below.
I exercised control really well and chose just two:
1. Salted Egg Croissant
Crispy and flaky, this pastry struck a delightful balance. The salted egg flavor wasn’t overpowering, making it a pleasant indulgence.
2. Hazelnut Chocolate Tart
While visually appealing, the tart leaned toward the sweeter side. Ideal for sharing, but perhaps not for solo consumption. Midway through, I found myself yearning for a zesty lemon tart instead.
3. Kombucha
No words can truly capture the essence of a good kombucha. Sipping it after my sinful dessert session and a hearty dinner left me feeling refreshed.
Will I return to broom cafe?
Absolutely! There’s a whole world of pastries waiting for me to explore.
