Over time, Kenny Hills Bakers has become one of the favorite brunch spots by many and has thousands of loyal customers. You can see it evidently through the opening of this brand in multiple areas around Klang Valley. And one of the recent footprints is at The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur.
When you ask around, the first thing people say about Kenny Hills Bakers is their peach strudels. Is it only that? I decided to storm one of their largest outlets at IOI City Mall, Putrajaya where it is deemed to have exclusive dishes that other outlets may not have.
I was drooled upon entering the café, looking at the rows of salivating pastries and spread.
What do I eat?
1. Peach Strudel
Duhhh, of course, one must indulge in the peach strudel. In itself, the strudel is intagrammable worthy with its layers of flaky, crunchy crust, cream cheese, and a thick slice of peach. It’s light, flavorful and delicious. Don’t be ambitious to put everything into your mouth but use the cutlery and cut bit by bit – you will enjoy them better.
2. Organic Sourdough Pizzas
The list of pizzas is extensive, so I didn’t know what to choose. Should I go for ‘The Hawaiian’ or should I go for ‘Smoked Salmon’? What about ‘The Sicilian’? To make my selection easy, I went for Half & Half. Best choice ever as I get to savor both.
Look at the picture! It smelled so good when the server brought it to our table.
3. The Lafayette
This was highly recommended by the server, so we went with it. Like its glamour name, The Lafayette uses croissant buns, and it comes with poached egg, hollandaise sauce, smoked salmon, and wilted spinach. Oh mine, my other half loved them and he finished the whole thing. The gooey eggs were indeed fascinating.
4. Spaghetti Carbonara
Explosive! A simple dish like carbonara can easily go wrong if you do not follow the formula right. Certainly, the ingredients play an important role too. So, let’s try this in Kenny Hills Bakers! Hmm, one word – delectable! Just using beef bacon and spaghetti, the carbona turned out to be so perfect. It was creamy yet not jelak, kay.
Will I go there again?
I will especially when I have cravings for desserts. I wish I had a bigger ‘stomach’ space to try the array of desserts that caught my attention earlier.
