Up for Western delights? How about Naj and Belle in Bangsar?

Within a span of two weeks, I visited this cafe twice. All these are thanks to their signature Watermelon Cake.

When I visited the first time, the cake was sold out so I was determined to visit the cafe again.

In fact, I chanced upon this cafe several times, but due to the limited parking, I have always put this aside. Naj and Belle serve a variety from Malaysian local delights to Western. You name it and you will get it.

Given that I was craving Western cuisine at that time, I went all out to indulge in it, from appetizers to main dishes and desserts.

1. Creamy Garlic Mushroom Soup with Sourdough (RM24.00)

For the appetizer, the sourdough was perfectly paired with the thick garlic mushroom. One piece of sourdough was certainly not enough, and I actually asked for more sourdough to be dipped in this delicious sauce. Of course, that came with extra charges, lol.

2. Signature Watermelon Cake

Hooray, finally, I had it! I have heard so many ravings about their signature watermelon cake. Voila, I was indeed very pleased with it. It was so delicious with a good combination of fresh watermelon, cream, and its base.

3. Squid Ink Spaghetti (RM35.00)

On the menu, it stated that it comes with tiger prawns but neh, there aren’t tiger prawns, to begin with. Just the normal prawns. Nonetheless, the pasta was really good. Every noodle was covered with rich tomato sauce, allowing one to indulge in it wholeheartedly.

4. Grain Fed Rib Eye Steak Sandwich (RM55.00)

Not much of a deal as there’s a better sandwich out there. Anyhow, for those who are curious about this sandwich, it came with onion jam, fresh tomato, iceberg lettuce remoulade topped with a sunny side-up egg, and French fries.

On top of that, I too ordered Burnt Cheesecake and Mango Pavlova. If we would compare with their Signature Watermelon Cake, these two cakes were just so-so only.
