Mak's Chee Authentic Wanton Noodle

Wanton noodle, one of the staple foods that we go for since young, besides bat kut teh. Usually, we have it at hawker stall but this time, let’s try it at Mak’s Chee Authentic Wanton Noodle. It can’t be bad right, given that it has more than one outlets in Klang Valley and most of the outlets are in the shopping malls.

So, what do I have?

1. Wanton noodle Soup (RM14.90)

2. HK Kailan with Oyster Sauce (RM10.90)

3. Fried Wanton and dumplings (RM16.90)

Overall, the Wanton noodle is good. Unlike what we usually have where it covers with dark soy sauce, the Wanton noodle here was lighter in color. The texture of the noodles remains al-dente and springy.

Don’t be surprised if you just see a plain bowl of noodles because the wantons are all hidden beneath. Just like how wanton noodles is served in Hong Kong.

On the wanton, the sea prawns used are very fresh, wrapped in the thin wanton skin. No pork is used in the wanton. Whereas the broth, it tastes fantastic. Suitable for people of all ages, the soup is very flavourful. I don’t usually opt for wanton soup because I prefer the dry, dark version, but for this, I’m glad that I choose this.
