When it comes to rainy day, some would opt for hotpot while some would go for BBQ. Whereas for me, the cravings for seafood, in particular crabs, are very strong this time hence, we decided to drive all the way to Seremban to have it.
You may ask why I go to Seremban to have this instead and my answer would be this is one of the best crabs that I ever had. In fact, this is so much better than the famous restaurant in PJ where people queue for it.
It’s like langit and bumi man!
Don’t believe? Go and try yourself today. I came to The Street Crab and Lala restaurant once before MCO and the food had wowed me. This time, I brought my entourage with me so that we can sample more food, and again, it wowed all of us, including my parents who came all the way from Klang.
1. Sweet and Sour Crabs
One can choose either to have XXL size crab or Super King crab but we decided to just go with XXL crab and voila, look at this. The gravy was so concentrated and the crabs weye very fresh. Every diner would definitely order a plate of crabs, with a minimum of 1kg at least. There are more than 5 types of cooking, from baked salt to sweet and sour, salted egg, black pepper..you name it!
2. Fried Mantao
When you have a plate of sweet and sour crabs, how could you not order a plate of mantao..
3. Steamed lala
Wow, mum approved it! Everyone was slurping and sipping the soup. Comes with a hint of spiciness, it was just so good to have it during the rainy day.
4. Salted egg French bean
The first time we finished the verge first instead of the other food. Salted egg was so fragrant and French bean was fresh, even my lil one ate it happily.
5. Fried chicken wing
6. Kam heong chicken
7. Lotus root soup
8. Black chicken peanut soup
You may wonder why there is no description for certain foods, well, for the food without description, they were just so-so only and there wasn’t much to shout out. You can either have them to complement your main dishes or you can just order something else. You wouldn’t miss it for not having them, unlike item 1-3 which I strongly recommend.
Ambiance: 7/10
Price: $$$$
Food: Pork free, Chinese cuisine and seafood
Service: Okay
Verdict: Must try their crabs!
On my recent visit, they don’t accept credit cards, so please make sure you bring enough cash but if not, you can go with e-wallet like TouchNGo, GrabPay.
