When in Tokyo, Japan, how can you not indulge in tempura? As we strolled through the Ginza area, we spotted a place with a queue snaking out the door. Of course, being a little #FOMO, we joined the line and waited patiently. We were eventually seated at the bar, giving us a front-row view of the chefs in action. Like many typical Tokyo eateries, the shop was quite small. I was amazed at how the three chefs navigated the tiny kitchen skillfully and precisely.
Within minutes, my bowl of tempura was served. The portion was generous, and I dove right in. The seafood was incredibly fresh, and the vegetables, like the pumpkin, were equally delightful. One thing I particularly enjoyed was the rice. There’s something about Japanese rice that perfectly satisfies cravings.
Was it worth the wait?
Absolutely. If you're looking for halal tempura, head over to Tendon.
