Chicken Rice at Hoe Fong Chicken Rice Restaurant, SeaPark, Petaling Jaya

Nestled in the bustling heart of Seapark, Petaling Jaya, Hoe Fong Chicken Rice stands out with its unique take on a beloved classic. Unlike the usual roasted or steamed options, Hoe Fong is renowned for its deep-fried chicken, offering a crispy and flavorful twist.

Upon entering the restaurant, you're greeted warmly by the staff, and you can immediately place your order. Impressively, by the time you find a seat, your meal is ready, served in just minutes.

The chicken is succulent and delicious, with a perfect crispy exterior that keeps you wanting for more. For that, I was thankful that I ordered half-chicken at a go.

The bean sprouts, on the other hand, fell short of expectations—perhaps due to the high benchmark set by the best in Ipoh.

Another delightful surprise was the fried ‘lobak’; it was bursting with flavor and left a lasting impression.

Another standout feature of the meal was the large bowl of soup provided to each diner—a comforting and generous touch.

Oh, and we ordered eggs too :)

Overall, the experience at Hoe Fong Chicken Rice is thoroughly enjoyable, with the scrumptious chicken being a definite highlight. The only downside is the parking. Seapark’s popularity means that finding a parking spot can be a challenge, but if luck is on your side, you might snag one without too much hassle.
