Dimsum Feast at Home with Wong's Menu

When MCO 1.0 began, you were so geared up to be the best wife for your husband that you spent countless time in the kitchen, firing up all sorts of food. From comfort food like braised pork belly, sweet and sour chicken to mastering dishes like bah kut teh, Hainanese chicken rice, and claypot chicken rice.

When the second lockdown happened, you decided to try firing other cuisines like making your own popcorn chicken, spaghetti carbonara to a hearty mushroom soup.

When the third lockdown happened, you just couldn't be bothered anymore and cooked whatever dishes that you felt like having, while ‘emptying’ the fridge to make ways for fresh ingredients.

After months and months of lockdown, the situation doesn't seem to improve and you decide, that’s it! Time to bring the world out there to your beloved kitchen, and of course, before bringing in, sanitization becomes an essential step.

To begin with, I had a dimsum feast recently. Yay! Thanks to Wong’s Menu, I was well fed with lots of assortments but among all, these are the few which I wanted to share with you because they are so damn gooooddddd.

1.    1. HK Style Char Siew Pau (RM16 for 6)

For a small pack like this, it is quite pricey! But you know, sometimes you just need that little treat to make your day. And this cute mini char siew pau is just the best – not too big, not too small and the chunks of char siew just satisfy your taste buds.

      2. Classic Siew Mai (RM11 for 9)

Siew Mai is one of the constant favorites at dim sum eateries. Wrapped in dumpling skins, the filling usually consists of pork and shrimp. Depending on the chef, they will then add in their secret ingredients to make it different and delicious. And for the siew mai that I bought from Wong’s Menu, they are so fresh and the chunks of pork and shrimp simply delight my day.

      3. Golden Sesame Ball (RM15 for 10)

Always my favorite, be it the red bean paste or lotus paste! Just love how it is fried until golden brown with crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside. I have been longing for this for the longest time ever and the kid in me clapped happily when I saw this in Wong’s Menu.

On top of that, we tried beancurd roll, beancurd prawn, and many others – all were comparably fresh. Given that they provide free delivery for the purchase of more than RM200, why don’t you too call for a dim sum feast at your home?
