Looking for a hidden café in Petaling Jaya that only locals seem to know about? This cozy, no-signage coffee spot might just surprise you.
Tucked quietly in a corner in the heart of busy Petaling Jaya, this hidden café (updated: the name is called Fade by SB) surprised me in more ways than one. What amazed me most was how people actually manage to find it, especially since the shop doesn’t even have clear signage. I would have never discovered this place if my friend hadn’t introduced it to me.
Stepping inside, the space is small and cozy, with only two to three tables available. The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee — the kind that instantly slows you down.
This café keeps things simple. It’s a humble spot where people come to enjoy a good cup of coffee. The menu focuses mainly on coffee, and they seem to have all the essentials covered. To pair with your drink, they offer a small selection of pastries that rotate daily — from chocolate banana cake to chocolate walnut, depending on what’s available.
On the day of our visit, they were serving chocolate banana cake, so we decided to give it a try. At RM25 per slice, it felt a little pricey. Was it worth it? Personally, my friend preferred the walnut banana cake over this one, but it still made for a decent treat.
We also tried their chocolate cookies, which turned out to be a great choice — perfect for sharing and nicely balanced in sweetness.
Would I return?
If I happen to be in the area and craving a good cup of coffee, I probably would. It’s not a place I’d go out of my way for, but it does have its own quiet charm that makes it worth an occasional visit.
If you enjoy discovering hidden cafés in Petaling Jaya, this spot is worth adding to your list. While it may not be the most affordable option, its cozy atmosphere and quality coffee make it a pleasant stop for a quiet coffee break in PJ.
And yes… even if it means driving all the way to Petaling Jaya.
