As part of my ongoing quest to find the best Beaufort noodles in Kota Kinabalu, I made my way to KK Beaufort Noodles, located in the Hilltop area. Originally, I had planned to visit the well-known Yu Hing Restaurant, but it had closed early that day, so I decided to give this spot a try instead.
Among all the dishes we ordered, the surprise standout was… the vegetables! Yes, you read that right. I found myself feasting on that plate of greens with genuine delight. Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked—it was the kind of dish that makes you pause and appreciate simplicity done right.
Here’s a quick rundown of what we tried:
Average. The broth was decent, but the portion of fish slices was underwhelming. Yu Hing’s version is better.
2. Beaufort Noodles
Also average.
3. Char Siew
It was rather disappointing. Lean meat and too dry, lacking the juicy, caramelized flavor I was hoping for.
4. Omelette with Pork and Vegetables
Surprisingly good! Savory, fluffy, and well-seasoned. A definite highlight alongside the vegetables.
Will I Return?
Yes—but selectively. I’d come back for the vegetables and the omelette with pork, but I’d skip the char siew and seafood noodles next time. If you’re in the Hilltop area and craving something simple yet satisfying, KK Beaufort Noodles might just hit the spot.
