The Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden at Genting Highlands

When you are in Genting Highlands, it seems like it is a must to try The Laughing Fish by Harry Ramsden. I was hesitant at the beginning, like come on, it is just fish and chips. However, Harry Ramsden is a world-famous brand in the UK, known for its fish and chips so, I decided to give it a try.

The first night I had the fish and chips, I did not enjoy it. The batter was so thick for cod fish. Maybe it was because we ordered in bulk for twenty people, or probably, it was due to the chef that night.

Two days after I decided to give it a try again. This time, it was only 4 of us. And voila, it was cooked to perfection. The meal that day was delish. I had a good appetizer, followed by a main dish, and ended the meal with a dessert.

So, what did I have?

1. Soup of the Day - Potato Soup (RM18)

Creamy, smooth, and fragrant!

 2. Cod Fish (Large) (RM58)

Comes in three sizes, from regular (RM46) to large (RM58) and legendary (RM70), we opted for a large one. There are two different types of fish – cod, and haddock. According to the menu, cod fish gives a light and flaky texture while haddock is chunkier and much more flavorful.

The fish is cooked fresh, and it comes with double-cooked chips. The fish is gracefully battered, and I have chosen gravy as the side.

3. Warm Chocolate Brownie (RM18)

Topped with chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, this is a perfect dessert to wrap up a hearty meal. Not sweet but I was hoping for it to be slightly fudgy and gooey.

4. Eton Mess (RM20)

Comes with fresh strawberries, crushed meringue, whipped cream, and shredded lime, I find this dessert really refreshing. It brought a slight hint of sweetness, but the combination of strawberry and lime has balanced it out.

5. Signature Lemonade
