There’s something magical about enjoying a bubbling hotpot while surrounded by chilly mountain air — especially at Genting Highlands. Every time I’m up here, indulging in hotpot is a must-do ritual. And if you’re looking for a place that offers warmth, flavour, and a touch of elegance, Beauty in The Pot checks all the boxes.
I visited on a weekday, and to my surprise (and delight), the place wasn’t crowded at all. No reservations were needed — just a casual walk-in, and we were immediately greeted with enthusiastic welcomes. The staff were incredibly warm, calling out greetings from across the floor and ushering us to our table with genuine smiles.
Ordering was a breeze — everything is done through an iPad menu that's simple and intuitive. First up: the broth. If you’re new to Beauty in The Pot, let me tell you — do not skip the signature pork bone broth. Rich, creamy, and comforting, it’s the soul of the meal. The other broth options are great too, but this one is a clear standout.
After selecting your soup base, it’s time to pick your ingredients. This is where things can get a little pricey, depending on what you order — but hey, good hotpot is rarely cheap. From sliced meats to fresh seafood and handmade meatballs, everything looked fresh and inviting.
Before the food arrived, we headed over to the snack and sauce bar. It costs RM8 per person for access, and while the offerings are pretty basic (mostly DIY sauces, apple and orange slices, and one variety of jeruk), the selection of sauces alone made it worthwhile. Customizing your dip just the way you like it is part of the fun.
Soon, our table was filled with platters of ingredients and steaming broth. Everything arrived at once, and before long, we were deep in our hotpot feast — dipping, cooking, tasting, and repeating until we were absolutely stuffed.
Will I return again?
Absolutely.
There’s just something comforting about a hearty hotpot session in the cool climate of Genting Highlands. Beauty in The Pot offers a satisfying experience — from the cozy ambiance to the flavorful broths and attentive service. It may not be the cheapest meal on the hill, but it’s definitely one of the most memorable.
