When you are in Setia Alam, you never have to worry about not knowing what to eat. The area is filled with plenty of dining options, and you will definitely be spoiled for choice. Even if you are hosting a large group of guests and everyone has different food preferences, bringing them to a kopitiam is always a great idea. With multiple stalls offering different dishes, there will always be something for everyone to enjoy.
This time, we visited Tiam Fu Kopitiam. We ordered several dishes, and many of them were really good! To make the visit even more enjoyable, I bumped into a few friends while I was there — which shows just how popular this place is among locals. Here are some of the dishes worth mentioning.
1.Wan Tan Mee
The wan tan mee here has a bit of history behind it. It used to be from the well-known Emporium Wan Tan Mee stall in Klang, which has long made its name in the Klang neighbourhood. Now that the second or third generation has expanded to Setia Alam, I am happy to say that this plate of wan tan mee has never disappointed me. The noodles were springy, the sauce was flavorful, and it was simply satisfying.
2. Prawn Noodles
This bowl of prawn noodles was legendary. I honestly didn’t expect to find such a good bowl of prawn mee in a kopitiam setting. The broth was rich and flavorful with a strong prawn taste, which made every spoonful incredibly enjoyable. I absolutely loved it.
3. Fried Kuey Teow
The fried kuey teow also received my partner’s stamp of approval.
While it is common to see many stalls selling char kuey teow, finding a really good plate can sometimes be a challenge. Fortunately, this one was pretty good — nicely cooked with generous bean sprouts and plenty of flavor.
Overall, Tiam Fu Kopitiam is a comfortable spot for casual dining in Setia Alam. The variety of food stalls means there is something for everyone, making it perfect for family meals or group gatherings. The prices are affordable, the setting is comfortable, and the coffee here is top-notch — exactly what you would expect from a good kopitiam experience. Overall, the food here is affordable and great value, making it a popular spot for locals in Setia Alam.
